How to Create a Safe Sleep Environment for Your Baby

In this training, find out what you can do to reduce a baby’s risk of SID’s and other sleep-related causes of infant death and what you can do as a caregiver to help increase the awareness of this important issue.

Each year in the United States, there are about 3,500 Sudden Unexpected Infant Deaths (SUID). Fast Facts:(

These deaths occur among infants less than one year old and have no immediately-obvious cause.  The three commonly reported types of SUID are SIDS, unknown causes and accidental suffocation and strangulation in bed.

This training meets the Child Care Services-Licensing requirement for safe sleep training.

Time: 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.

Disaster Preparedness Training

This course is designed to assist child care professionals in developing and implementing a disaster preparedness plan. Disasters often occur without warning. When an emergency strikes, the immediate safety of the children they care for and the childcare providers will depend on the existing levels of preparedness. The information and resources presented in this course provide participants with the “tools” needed to mitigate the efforts of disaster.
