Both giving and gratitude characterize the holiday season. This year, with the need for social distancing and creative solutions, our staff has gone above and beyond despite the challenges presented. Through it all, we are thankful for your support.
Our staff will remember 2020 as the year our Rainbow Fleet Early Education Center opened. It’s also the year we adapted to offer virtual training instead of in-person and worked to meet child care providers’ needs as they, in turn, offered child care for essential workers. While so much happened in different ways than at any other time, our commitment to serving the community remains unchanged.
Even across the distance, good finds a way.
Giving Tuesday is Dec. 1. This international date dedicated to supporting non-profits is a new tradition dedicated to the tangible results of individual participation for collective good. In the spirit of the season, it inspires people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity through gifts large and small. Please consider Rainbow Fleet in your end-of-year giving plans.

Every person can make a difference and, together, the potential for making a positive impact grows. At Rainbow Fleet, we see growth in the way Oklahoma’s children develop physically and mentally at key ages and stages. Supporting child care providers and the families they serve is our mission. We are happy to support growth in our community through resources for local caregivers, too.
That support has proven crucial, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. From mobilizing the distribution of cleaning supplies to keeping providers informed about funding issues and operations best practices, our staff has taken on new roles in response to the evolving public health situation.
Thanks to local partnerships, we are able to continue critical services the public can count on at any time. More than 1,400 parents, grandparents, foster parents and social workers turned to Rainbow Fleet last year for child care referrals. We believe every child deserves outstanding care and this year, we had the opportunity to help bridge the access gap with our own child care center.
Creating an ideal space for Oklahoma City’s youngest learners would not have been possible without the support of donors like you. Rainbow Fleet Early Education Center now hosts children ages 6 weeks to 4 years. As a lab school, we will also offer early childhood development majors a place to apply their studies through hands-on internships. Ensuring optimal education for both children and the professionals who care for them contributes to quality of life.
